Larger cubes with faces of 4x4 squares and even 7x7 squares are available. As you might expect these larger cubes are much trickier, so if you are new to this phenomenon you are advised to start at the beginning. You need new techniques to solve these larger cubes. One of the main problems with the 4x4 cube is that you no longer have a fixed central square so you need to create one. The 4x4 cube is as popular as the original cube so is well worth a try. Its mechanism is more complex though so it is slightly less durable with mini cubes popping out occasionally.
